ALLAN R. “JOE” DUCA, 90 of Stephenson, MI passed away on Wednesday September 11, 2024 at the Renaissance in Marinette surrounded by his family. Joe was proud to be born on December 4, 1933 in a small log cabin in Nathan, MI to Edmond and Clara (Christiansen) Duca. He was a 1952 graduate of Stephenson High School. On October 8, 1953, Joe was inducted into the United States Army and proudly served his Country during the Korean Conflict. On November 26, 1955 Joe married Patricia Sandahl at St. Frederick’s Catholic Church in Daggett. Joe worked as a hydro plant operator for Wisconsin Electric at the Chalk Hills Power Plant for 37 years, retiring in March of 1995. He enjoyed going to camp in Nathan, hunting, being in the woods and flea markets. Joe had a wonderful sense of humor and was known to be quite the trickster and practical joker. He was very social and loved people. Joe could often be found visiting with people wherever he went. His greatest love was his family, and they will always remember him for his singing and humming of silly songs and the trinkets he loved to send home with the
grandkids. Joe was a faithful member of Precious Blood Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years: Patricia Duca; 7 children: Peggy (Wayne) Stoop, Judith (Doc) Solander, Jane (Mike Anderson) Behringer, John (Laura) Duca, Lisa (David) Hansley, Bill (Mina) Duca and Jay (Amy) Duca; son-in-law: Tim Gignac; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sister: Mary Jo (Jerry) Poupore; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents: Edmond and Clara; daughter: Sharon Gignac; sister: Doris (Wimpy) Ross; and brother: Jim (June) Duca.

Family will receive friends at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Thursday September 19, 2024 after 4:00 pm until time of Vigil Prayer Service at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday September 20, 2024 from 10:00 am until 10:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Joe at 11:00 am at Precious Blood Catholic Church with Father Ben Rivard
officiating. Burial will be in the Stephenson Township Cemetery.
