Shirlee Grom, 91, passed away peacefully at Aurora Medical Center on September 13, 2026. She was born June 11, 1935, in Marinette, to John and Martha Hartwig. She graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1953. On May 5, 1956 she married the love of her life, Ronald Grom and together they raised two sons, Rodney and Scott.
Shirlee was a devout Christian who always put God and family first in her life. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grover, where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed listening to polka music on Sunday afternoons while preparing a meal for her family or friends. Shirlee also shared a very special bond with her many nieces.
Shirlee is survived by her son, Scott, six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; her son, Rodney; her granddaughter, Alyssa; her brothers, Lester and John; and her sisters, Ruth, Mabel, Evelyn, and Marily.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, Sept. 18th at St. John Lutheran Church in Grover from 10:00 am until time of services at Noon. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
