Scott Douglass Hartz, 64, of Menominee, MI, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024, at home in Fremont, WI. Scott was born on February, 6, 1960 in Fort George G Meade, Anne Arundle County, MD to John and Barbara (Bergstrom) Hartz.

Scott graduated from Menominee High School in 1978. He attended college at Michigan Technological University graduating in 1983. He worked in many positions in computer program development. He was an active and faithful member of Community Covenant Church his entire life. He enjoyed sailing, golfing, and horseback riding. Scott proposed to his Fiancé Rose Geniesse on a recent trip to Hawaii in 2023. He was a loving father to his two daughters. Also, a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Scott is survived by: Parents John and Barbara Hartz of Menominee, Michigan; Fiancé Rose Geniesse of Fremont, WI; Daughter Carolyn Hartz (Michael Schoenherr) of Jefferson, WI; Daughter Raechel Tomes (Morgan Bathalon) of Milton, WI; Sister Susan (Thomas) Relling of Shoreview, MN; Two Brothers: Steven (Katherine) Hartz of Seward, AK; and Kevin (Lori) Hartz of Greenville, WI. He is also survived my many loving nieces and nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents Douglass L. Hartz and Martha F (Miller) Hartz; his Maternal Grandparents George R. Bergstrom and Evelyn M (Schilawski) Bergstrom; Aunts: Barbara West, Merry Hartz, Nancy Johnson and Judy Skogen; and Uncle Robert G. Bergstrom.

Visitation for Scott will be held at Community Covenant Church in Menominee on Sunday September 22, 2024 from 2:30 pm until time of Funeral Service at 4:00 pm with Reverend Linnea Ek officiating.  A Hawaiian themed luncheon/celebration of life will follow.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery on Monday September 23, 2024 at 11:00 am.
