Oconto’s Harvest Fest

Posted

OCONTO – Get ready to fall in love with autumn all over again because Oconto’s Harvest Fest is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever. The event will be on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., when downtown Oconto transforms into the ultimate fall playground, packed with fun, food and festivities for the whole family.

Main Street will be buzzing with excitement as it closes to vehicles and opens up to a lively parade of vendors, arts and crafts and delicious seasonal treats. Community members can come for the cozy flannel feels, the crafty finds or the mouthwatering eats.

President of the Oconto Area Chamber of Commerce Samantha Routheau stated “We’ve pulled out all the stops to make this year’s Harvest Fest unforgettable! From the all-new pumpkin carving contest to a scavenger hunt that will have you exploring every nook and cranny of downtown, this event is all about celebrating the season and our amazing community. Get ready for a day of pure fall fun!”

There will be some new additions to the event including a pumpkin carving contest. Whether contestants are going for spooky, funny or downright creative, bring the pre-carved masterpiece to the info booth at the corner of Main St. and Superior Ave. Winners will be crowned at 2 p.m.

For those with a sense of adventure, there will be a scavenger hunt. Get ready to dash through downtown looking for scarecrows.  It’s a thrilling way to discover hidden gems among the vendors and activities—and maybe even win some sweet prizes.

And let’s not forget the little ones. Kids will have a blast with games and activities designed just for them, while the grown-ups can indulge in some serious shopping, tasty treats and good vibes. From piping hot apple cider to the crunch of fresh-picked apples, the Oconto Harvest Fest has all the autumn cravings covered.

Harvest Fest is happening on Main St., stretching from Erie Ave. to Millidge Ave., right in the heart of Oconto. The event is free to all looking to attend.
