During the recent Lion’s Club activity of Adopt a Highway for trash clean-up, it was disturbing to see what items are thrown in the ditches in this community, and particularly between Old Peshtigo Road and Pine Street where I was working. Some of the trash that was collected included, a bag of dirty diapers, full beer bottles, empty bottles, cans, to-go cups, hundreds of cigarette butts, fast food wrappers and bags, and most concerning as a medical professional - insulin syringes. Four large bags of trash were collected in this area.
