Silver Cliff Last Card Party is Set for April 1

Come to the Silver Cliff Town Hall for the last card party of this year on April 1. The potluck supper begins at 5 p.m.

On March 25, the Smear winners were Ozari Ventura Bishop taking High and Shondi Reynolds coming in second while Sue Victoreen got third and Sabin Rosenbaum finished up with Low. Zelma Rosenbaum won the Door Prize for the night and Dan Betts was the host for the evening.

St. Patrick’s Day was the theme of the card Party held on March 11, at the Silver Cliff Town Hall. Zelma Rosenbaum was the hostess for the evening serving up a terrific corn beef and cabbage dinner. At cards, Riana Ventura Bishop took high and Joanne Sisler finished in second. Third was a tie between Ahbram Ventura Bishop and Carol Kitchmaster. Dan Betts had the low score of the evening and Michelle Baldwin was the lucky Door Prize winner.

Volunteers Work 1,100 Hours On Silver Cliff Tornado Cleanup

The Town of Silver Cliff was hard hit by a tornado that swept through northern Marinette County on Wednesday, June 15. Winds damaged or destroyed all nine of the town buildings and downed thousands of trees across a wide spread area. A month later, cleanup efforts continue.

A swath of storms that swept through northeast Wisconsin starting at about 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15 brought with it at least five tornadoes and caused widespread property damage and power outages. In some places power had not been restored by the morning of Wednesday, June 22.
 

American Legion Post/Unit 66 Memorial Day Service May 29

The Silver Cliff Fire and Rescue Auxiliary will meet on Monday, May 9 at 10 am. at the town hall. This is the Spring luncheon, Mary Deprey and Annita Weber will bring desserts, all other members are asked to bring a dish to share whatever they desire.

One Vehicle Crash Claims Life of Silver Cliff Man

Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve reports that at 3:08 P.M. Marinette County Dispatch received a call reporting a one vehicle crash on State Highway 180 and Four Lakes Road in the Town of Wagner. The caller stated he witnessed a silver pick-up truck that was westbound, go off the road left striking a tree and then roll over.

SCFRA Children’s Christmas Party

The Silver Cliff Fire and Rescue Auxiliary (SCFRA) with other community donations will sponsor a Christmas party on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 11 am. at the town hall. All Silver Cliff resident children between the ages of birth to 10 are welcome.
