Memorial Day Service Held at Amberg Cemetery

Mullany-McTrusty American Legion Post #428 held their annual Memorial Day Ceremony at the Amberg Cemetery at 11:00 am Monday, May 29.  The Wausaukee School Band marched into the cemetery behind the Post and American flags and Color Guard.

Crivitz Area Memorial Day Ceremonies Listed

The combined honor guard representing Netzel-Zenz American Legion Post #413 and VFW Memorial Post #2063 of Crivitz will conduct two ceremonies on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29. The first ceremony will be at the Pine Hills Cemetery in Middle Inlet at 9:30 AM. This will be followed by a ceremony at the Crivitz Cemetery at 10:30 AM. The speaker for the both ceremonies is Vietnam Veteran John Deschane.

Crivitz Legion Memorial Day Poultry Shoot May 27

Crivitz American Legion Post #413 will sponsor its annual Memorial Day Poultry and .22 Shoot on Saturday, May 27 at the Lake Noquebay Sportsman’s Club. The club is located east of the Village of Middle Inlet, one-half mile south of County Hwy X at N9200 Maple Beach Road.

Removal of privately owned items from graves in Forest Home Cemetery this spring, including some fairly costly decorative solar lights, wreath holders and shepherd’s hooks for hanging baskets, along with general care and maintenance of the cemetery and its condition on Memorial Day generated most of the discussion at the monthly Middle Inlet Town Board meeting on Thursday, June 9.
