Peshtigo Honors Ten For Life Saving Responses

On Monday, Nov. 14, Ron “Porky” Behnke collapsed of a heart attack and nearly died while on his fork lift at Peshtigo Feed Mill. On Tuesday, Dec. 6 he was guest of honor at the Peshtigo City Council meeting where Mayor Cathi Malke presented life saving awards to ten individuals whose quick reactions helped keep him alive and make his presence at the Council meeting possible.

Titans Marquardt/Kristoff Top Peninsula Honors List

The Peninsula Conference has released their All-Conference billings for the 2022 season and the Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Titans came away with a hefty share of the honors bestowed this season. Along with their 5 first team spots the Titans were honored with both the Offensive Player of the Year and the Defensive player of the year awards. It was senior running back Sam Marquardt who took the offensive POY and  senior linebacker Josh Kristoff who secured the defensive POY.

Oconto Football Players Earn Packerland Honors

Four Oconto Blue Devils earned Packerland Football post season honors.
Kyle Bowman was a second team running back and linebacker in his junior season.

Coleman’s Kuchta Earns Northwoods POY Honors

The Coleman Cougars and Crivitz Wolverines combined for 13 Northwoods Conference wins and 13 first-team all-conference position selections this season.
In a season where they went 7-0 in conference play and made another deep playoff run, the Cougars claimed six first-team spots. The 6-1 Northwoods Conference Crivitz Wolverines received seven first-teamers.

Alexandra Kristof is Lena May Student of the Month

The Lena Lions Club honored Alexandra Kristof, daughter of Dave and Missy Kristof, as the Lions Student of the Month for May.
