Smart pitching along with a patient, and once again opportunistic offense, powered the Lena High baseball team to a 4-1 victory in the WIAAA Division 4 Regional Final on Thursday, Jun. 5.

Ty Shallow got the start on the mound, working his way back from giving up the Blue Jays’ lone run in the opening inning to have a great game with some key strikeouts in pressure situations. Upon hitting his 100-pitch limit for the game, Lena’s Colt Miller took over, making the most out of his first pitching appearance of the season to get the Wildcats out of a tough situation in the top of the sixth and preserve the win.
