Wildcats pounce on Gresham Community to advance in the playoffs

The Wildcats got together near home plate Wednesday following a Blake Behnke single to score Isaac Peterson from second base, ending Wednesday’s WIAA regional semifinal matchup between Gresham and Lena in the bottom of the sixth with the scoreboard showing 10-0.

Behind some opportunistic offense and a fantastic day from sophomore starter Bryce Schneider and the rest of the Lena defense, the Wildcats defeated Gresham Community on Wednesday in the regional semifinal round of the playoffs by a final score of 10-0.
