Twenty-year participant recognized at Copper Fest

For the last 20 years Edwin Wentland Jr. has participated in the Copper Fest parade with his hand-operated clutch 1952 Case DC Tractor. Wentland Jr. decorates the tractor to recognize veterans from all branches of the military as well as his father, Sergeant First Class (SFC) Edwin Wentland Sr. SFC Wentland Sr. was stationed at Fort Eustis, Va., for active-duty training during WWII and was in the 757th Transportation Battalion in Milwaukee. As an active supporter of the Oconto County Veterans Memorial (OCVM), Wentland Jr. continues to find different ways to be involved. The OCVM thanked SFC Wentland Sr. for his service and Wentland Jr. for honoring veterans during the Copper Fest parade.
