SURING – The Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas High football team found itself all tied up with Suring 14-14 at halftime on Friday night in 8-man action, before taking control of things to start the third quarter en route to a 36-14 victory, improving to 5-1 overall and 4-0 in Across the Bay Conference competition.

The Eagles, 1-2 in conference, 2-3 overall, tied things up late in the first half when Michael Pecanas connected with Michael Bailey on 4th&20.

The Titans responded in the third quarter by picking up a huge score on a Calvin Peters run from 33-yards out to make it 20-14 while the Lena/STAA defense did a tremendous job to keep the Eagles off the scoreboard for the rest of the contest.
