Rolf Berg

Rolf B. Berg, 81, a resident of the Luther Home, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026. He was born February 28, 1945, in Marinette, Wisconsin, to Rev. John Berner Berg and Alfreda Elizabeth Moller Berg. Rolf grew up in Porterfield, where his parents had taken over the Moller family farm.

He attended Porterfield Lutheran Church and graduated from Marinette High School. Rolf had been employed by Marinette Marine Corporation and later was a beef cattle farmer on the family homestead.

Rolf was one of four children. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Ann Berg Oie, the oldest of the siblings; and his brothers, John Allen Berg and George Gerhardt Berg. His brother George, the youngest of the siblings, was a Vietnam War veteran and Marine Corps captain who later made his home in Sumter, South Carolina, with his wife, Mildred “Millie” Berg.

Rolf is survived by his niece, Amanda Lee Berg Roberts, and his nephew, George G. Berg II, along with extended family.

Services were held Saturday, June 20th at Luther Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Kolstad officiating. Burial followed at Forest Home Cemetery.

Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home assisted the family.
