Robert G. Koehler, 79 years of age, passed away on December 18, 2024 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay due to health illnesses. Robert was born on January 23, 1945 to the late Earl and Elsie (Maki) Koehler and graduated from high school in 1963. Robert entered the U.S. Navy, serving from 1963 to 1967 and was a Vietnam War veteran.
On June 14, 1969 he married Anna Potkay. Robert worked at various companies in the area, mostly with Erda in Peshtigo doing R & D work for aircraft seating. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping, hunting and fishing. He made many motorcycle trips on his Harley around the United States. He was also a skilled handyman and completed many projects in his garage workshop. His happiest moments were in spending time surrounded by family and friends making memories.
Robert is survived by his wife, Ann; children and grandchildren, son, Jeff (Colleen) Koehler and their children, Cory Koehler, Shannon Perez and Lydia Koehler; daughter, Kristine Koehler; and son, Jason Koehler and his son, Tyler Koehler; 6 great-grandchildren, Charlie Perez, Melaine, Micah and Phinnegan Koehler, Skyler Koehler and Dean Chizek; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet (Dennis) Hannon; and a brother-in-law, Jim Potkay.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Earl, Jr. and Jack Koehler; and a niece, Debra Mullins.
Visitation will be held at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home on Saturday, December 28th beginning at 12 noon. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Christine Olson of Emmanuel Lutheran Church officiating along with Military Honors.
Robert’s family extends a special thank you to the Aurora BayCare ICU team, the 4th floor nurses and the medical staff for their care and kindness at this time.
