Robert “Bob” Brusky, 76, of Coleman, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 21, 1950 in Kewaunee, WI, to the late Daniel and Ruth (Martin) Brusky. Bob graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1968. On December 5, 1970 he was united in marriage to Mary Van Den Heuvel.
Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed in Taiwan as an MP during the Vietnam War. He then went on to the reserves and continued to proudly serve until his Honorable Discharge on September 9, 1974.
Bob was employed for many years as a truck driver for Schneider Transport. He was also employed by the Town of Silver Cliff as a road maintenance worker. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post 280 in Coleman where he served as Chaplain, American Legion Post 66 in Silver Cliff and served as Commander, and lifetime member of AMVETS. In 2018, he took part in riding on the Honor Flight. Bob was an active member of St. Anne Catholic Church where he served on the building and grounds committee and was also an usher and server.
He enjoyed going to Brewer games and loved his wood working projects including the beautiful Rosary that is currently displayed at St. Anne Catholic Church in Coleman.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Mary, son; Dean Brusky, Daughters; Denise Bastian, Debbie (Mike) Whiffen, 12 grandchildren; Nathan, Austin, Devon, Isabella, Zakary, Samantha, Lauren, Cheyenne, Dylan, Dalton, Bret and Brady. 9 great grandchildren; Ethan, Mallory, Victoria, Addilyn, Parker, Kayson, Emma, Milena, and Florencia. He is further survived by his siblings; Daniel (Shirley) Brusky, Virgil Brusky, Sharon Schweiner, sister-in-law; Cathy Brusky and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, infant son; Bobby Brusky, brothers; Don and Ron Brusky, grandchildren; Jonathan Brusky, Trevor Goulder, sister-in-law; Shirley Brusky and brother-in-law; Daniel Schweiner.
Family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at St. Anne Catholic Church 228 E. Main St. Coleman, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A Memorial Mass will follow beginning at 11:00 AM with Father Ben Johnson to officiate. Military Honors will be held.
