Richard “Chuck” McCormick
age 82, of Pembine, passed away at home in his sleep on Tuesday March 11, 2025. He was born in Norway, Michigan; son of the late Vernon and Hillmay (Mattison) McCormick. Chuck enjoyed casino trips, deer hunting, fishing, 4-wheeler rides, feeding his hummingbirds and joy riding down all the backroads. He loved cutting firewood and was also known to cut his grass 5 times a week. Chuck truly was a people person, and his caring and fun-loving nature will always be remembered.
Chuck is survived by his children: Cecil “CJ” (Jaime) Ehmer, Cheri Scheffen, Tami Jo (David) Messman, Bobbie (Kevin) Valenta, Chevonne Tobin, Lisa (Scott) McCormick-Hesselink and Steven McCormick; 14 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and best friend, Richard. He was preceded in death by his companion of 34 years, Judy Ehmer; son, Michael; brother, Ernie and Danny; and sister, Nancy.
Visitation was held on Sunday March 16, 2025, at Grace Lutheran Church in Pembine from 12pm until his funeral service at 2pm. Pastor Brenda Greenwald officiateed. Burial will be in the Pembine Cemetery this spring.
Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting Chuck’s family with arrangements.
