PESHTIGO – The Board of Directors and members of the Peshtigo Area Chamber of Commerce held their monthly meeting at Peshtigo High School on January 14.

After the meeting Patrick Rau, superintendent of the Peshtigo School District, gave those in attendance a tour of the high school renovation project.

Superintendent Rau showed the group many of the newly completed classrooms such as the expanded science lab, art room, band room, athletic gym and locker rooms as well as the amenities they will offer students.

Rau explained how the new heating and cooling systems will be a major upgrade along with the fire suppression system. Rau also brought the group to tour areas that have not been finished or started yet and explained what is still to come, such as the upgraded front entrance and offices, a student commons area and a new fitness center.

The Peshtigo Area Chamber of Commerce and Peshtigo School District have a strong partnership, and the chamber will be hosting the senior class in April for Senior Jump Start. The chamber will be bringing in area professionals to speak to the senior class on topics such as banking, credit, loans, renting, insurance, buying a vehicle and purchasing a home.
