Matthew Michael Gregg, 88, passed away on May 9, 2026, in Peshtigo, WI. Born on September 11, 1937, Matthew spent his formative years in a close-knit family environment, deeply loved by his parents, Ben and Lillian, and his siblings, Bob, Patricia, and Bill, all of whom preceded him in death.

A man of considerable charm and enthusiasm, Matthew was known for his outgoing personality and profound love for the outdoors. His life was a testament to his adventurous spirit, marked by extensive travels and numerous camping trips with his family. He cherished the warmth of his home in Florida before moving back north to spend his final years closer to his loved ones. Matthew had a successful career in sales, managing various businesses throughout his professional life, which spoke to his excellent interpersonal skills and leadership. His commitment to his community was evident in his active participation at St. Mary Parish in Peshtigo.

His hobbies included hunting and golf, activities that not only satisfied his love for the outdoors but also allowed him valuable moments of joy and relaxation. Matthew's life was enriched by the companionship of his cherished dogs over the years, reinforcing his nature as a true animal lover.

He leaves behind a loving family: his wife of nearly 70 years, Carolyn; sons Michael (Diane) and their children Ashley, Judd, Hadli, and step-grandchildren SamiAnn Flesher and Kalee Cayemberg; Robert, his wife Carolyn, and son Robert Jr.; and Daniel, his wife Lee-Ann, and their children Beau, Stephen, Aedan, along with step-son Connor. Matthew also leaves behind numerous cherished great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Matthew and Carolyn's wishes, there will be no services. His life, characterized by a profound connection with family and a relentless zest for life, will continue to be celebrated by those who knew and loved him. His legacy of warmth, love, and adventure will undoubtedly endure through the many lives he touched.
