Mark Anthony Soletske, age 68, passed away on April 14, 2026. Born on March 27, 1958, he was the fourth child to Ronald and Gerda Soletske of Green Bay, WI. He was a graduate of Southwest High School.

While working at Coleman Products he met the love of his life, Sheila. The two married on October 18th, 1986. They welcomed their daughter, Katie, in 1988 and later, a son, Derek, in 1990. Mark left his position at K & K Warehouse to raise their children. Mark made an impact coaching youth sports, serving as Booster Club President for Marinette Schools, and even worked as an MHS study hall monitor.

He owned Brookside Variety, in Mountain, WI and later expanded to Mighty Fine Bait & Sport in Lakewood, WI. He also ran NEW Bass and Walleye, the largest fishing circuits in the Midwest. Mark was known for welcoming people into the store, an infectious laugh, and sharing the gift of the best fishing advice.

Friends and family will remember him as a pretty good cook, a belly laugh that made you laugh, the #1 cheerleader, and a father-like friend. Even until the end, his sense of humor and sass prevailed… “Hi Mark,” and he’d reply, “I’m not.”

Mark is survived by his daughter, Katie Hoffman (David); grandsons, Ascher and Kayce; son, Derek; sister, Irene Liebman (Patrick); brothers, Ron (Ida), Keith (Rose), and Paul; sister-in-law, Kathy Revall, and at least a handful of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mark is preceded in death by his wife, Sheila; granddaughter, Charlotte Hoffman, his parents, Ronald and Gerda; and sister-in-law Maryann Lemerond.

Mark, may the fish always be biting in your favorite spot, your reunion with Sheila sweet, and may you rest in eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests supporting youth sports programs and young anglers.

Visitation will be held at Hansen Onion Martell on Monday, April 27th, 2026, from 4 until 6 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 6 p.m.
