Karen Scheldt, 80, of Marinette passed away on October 14, 2025, in Gilbert, Arizona after a short illness.
Karen was born on January 26, 1945, in Marinette to the late Robert and Carol Scheldt. She graduated Menominee High School in 1963, attended Suomi College (Finlandia University) in Hancock, Michigan. Karen went on to have several careers from business owner, long-time manager of the Dodge Inn, and material handling and shipping for Emerson Electric and Decrane Aircraft Seating before her retirement in 2010.
Karen formerly was married to Gerald (Skip) Callies and had one son, Christian Callies with whom she enjoyed spending time with and was residing at the time of her death.
She is survived by her son, Christian who currently resides in Gilbert, Arizona, her brother Steve (KA Swiger) of Ketchikan, Alaska and sister Suzanne Scheldt of Edmonds, Washington. She was proceeded in death by her parents.
A local memorial service will be held at a later date.
