Joan Marie Dreier, 92 of Lampasas, Texas, formerly of Titusville, Florida and Marinette, Wisconsin passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Monday June 1, 2026. She was born December 13, 1933 in Marinette, Wisconsin to Harold and Lillian Hansen. In 1954 she was married to William C. Dreier.
In Marinette she was an active member of Pioneer Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star, Jobs Daughters, Girl Scouts and any activities that involved her children. In Titusville Joan and Bill were involved in many activities at their local church. Joan was very active in the womans ministries. She was especially proud of the backpack program where they supplied over 100 backpacks each year filled with school supplies for needy children. Following their daughter they then moved to Texas and enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and great grandbabies.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Keith) Thompson and her four grandchildren: Michael, Hannah, Daniel (Jazmi), Joshua (Grace) Thompson and his children Isabella, Evelyn, Adrian, Oakley and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, son David, twin sister Jane Payne, sister Joyce Belanger and baby brother Robert Hansen.
A private memorial service was held in Texas. Graveside services and interment will be held at a later date in the St. Luke's Presbyterian Memorial Garden (which Joan helped establish) in Titusville, Florida.
The family would like to thank Aspin Hospice for their care and compassion.
