On April 15th, 2026, Jinny Stewart, age 75 of Marinette passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.

Jinny was born on December 17, 1950, to the late Stella (Jenkins) and Jim Lieburn. On November 14, 1969, she married the love of her life, Ben Stewart. The love they shared for fifty-five years was admired by many. Her favorite place was wherever Ben was, which was typically what they called "the world's greatest porch," where they always had treats for the neighborhood dogs and a warm smile and kind words for neighbors walking by. Jinny was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, & great grandmother. Her greatest joy was caring for her family. She also loved caring for her yard and flowers, and she and Ben loved to watch the birds from their porch. When Ben became ill with pancreatic cancer, Jinny was there to take care of his every need right up until his passing in September. After receiving her own cancer diagnosis that same month, she found comfort in knowing she would soon be reunited with her beloved husband in heaven.

Jinny graduated from Marinette High School in 1969, and caring for her family became her life’s work. Her door was always open, and anyone who visited left with a full tummy and snacks for the road. She had an amazing ability to fix anything. Whether it was hemming a prom dress, baking birthday treats, sewing on a missing button, or simply offering comfort, she was always willing to help. She had the best hand to hold and lap to sit on. She had a natural gift for caring for others; no matter the circumstance, she always found the good in everyone and everything.

Jinny is survived by her four children: son Ben J. (Lisa) Stewart of Dodgeville with children Natalie, Cooper, Marley, and Parker Stewart; son Clint (Stacia) Stewart of Appleton with children Courtney (Colin) Whitney, Cayla (Carter) Stewart and Mia (Scott) Stewart; daughter, Kam (Mike) Dama of Crivitz with children Sophi (Charlie) Van Straten, Arthur (Aleathea) Dama, Maggie (Christian) Koch and Grace (Garett) Dama; and son, Mat Stewart of Marinette with children Noah, Olivia, Jonah, and Emma. She was also blessed with soon to be seven great-grandchildren: Adley, Wyler, Beckham, TJ, Aspen, Tessa, and Baby Younk who is due in September.

The family would like to thank Dr. Stephanie Fries, the nursing staff at Bay Area Cancer Center, and Nurse Sarah with Bristol Hospice for their special care.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home, Marinette, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Family Parish - Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 2735 Taylor St. in Marinette. There will be a graveside service at Forest Home Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with a luncheon to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Main St. at 2:00 p.m.
