James Samster, December 4, 1936 - February 20, 2026
James “Jim” Samster, 89, of Wausaukee, Wisconsin passed away on February 20, 2026. Loving son of Peter and Patricia Samster and brother of John Samster. Jim was married to the late Gail (Gilgenbach) Samster from 1958 to 1989 and married Kathryn Gilroy in 1995. Jim is survived by his partner of 26 years Kathryn Gilroy and three children Peter (spouse Nancy), Mary (spouse Danny) and Christopher Gilroy, his brother John as well as five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Jim graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee, University of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Marquette University with a Law Degree. Jim was a well-respected practicing attorney in Milwaukee for over 50-years and owned and managed the law firm of Samster, Konkel and Saffron for over 20-years.
Jim was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed bird and deer hunting. He was a strong believer in God and was long-time Mason, a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association and the NRA.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz, WI on March 7th from 11 am to 1 pm with a service to be held at 1 pm.
