Goodman Armstrong Lions Club announces scholarship recipients

GOODMAN ARMSTRONG – The Goodman Armstrong Creek (GAC) Lions Club has presented academic scholarships to two graduating seniors. Katelyn Kalkofen and Jasmine Slawinski both received scholarships for $1,000. The GAC Lions Club extends their congratulations to Kalkofen, Slawinski and all of the 2024 seniors.

Katelyn Kalkofen, daughter of Sally and Jody Kalkofen, was the valedictorian of the Goodman-Armstrong Creek High School Class of 2024. Katelyn was the president of the National Honor Society, vice president of student council and a class officer all four years of high school. During high school, Katelyn competed in volleyball as the varsity team captain, golf and was a member of the ice fishing team. Katelyn also participated in the Healthy Youth Coalition as the vice president, Badger Girls State, Trees for Tomorrow, forensics, drama and band. She was also in the homecoming and prom courts. Katelyn is currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay to pursue a degree in nursing.

Jasmine Slawinski, daughter of Jamie and Jason Slawinski, was the 2024 salutatorian of the Goodman-Armstrong Creek High School Senior Class of 2024. Jasmine was the president of the National Honor Society, president of the student council and a class officer all four years of high school. During high school, Jasmine competed in varsity golf, volleyball and was a member of the ice fishing team. Jasmine also participated in the Healthy Youth Coalition, serving as the president and vice president, Badger Girls State, Trees for Tomorrow, forensics, drama, band, solos and ensembles and took automotive class. She was also in the homecoming and prom courts. Jasmine took dance lessons for 15 years and some day would like to open or work at a dance studio. Jasmine is currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay to pursue a degree in Education.
