We are heartbroken to announce the peaceful passing of Gerald (Jerry) James Steeno on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the age of 83.
Born in Green Bay, Jerry honorably served his nation as a Navy Veteran from 1959-1963. Following his military career, he spent over three decades at IBM before retiring in 1996 back to Crivitz, Wisconsin. Along the way Jerry became a dedicated husband, a caring father, and a proud grandfather. His commitment to his family, his country, and his profession will be fondly remembered.
Jerry spent his leisure hours supporting his cherished teams, the Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Braves, wearing an officially branded team hat for good luck. He loved spending time at the local casinos, determined to hit “the big one”. And he was a wise man with profound insight (“it’s exactly the same, but different”) with impeccable forecasting skills (“it’ll be sunny tomorrow, unless it rains. Depends on the weather.”) We will miss his joy.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Steeno; his children, Gregory Steeno and Jennifer Sfreddo; and his step-son Antione Walker. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. For those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him, he will be profoundly missed.
A funeral service will be held at the Crivitz Rhodes-Charapata funeral home on March 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM with visitation starting at 9:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society dedicated to Gerald Steeno (https://raiseyourway.donordrive.com/campaign/Jerry-Steeno).
