Donald Roy Mansfield, age 79, of Porterfield, passed away on October 15, 2025, at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette. He was born on March 6, 1946, in New London, Wisconsin, to the late Carlos and Virginia Mansfield.
Donnie graduated from Cary High School in Cary, North Carolina, with the Class of 1966. In 1976, the family returned to Porterfield, where Donnie began his career at Patz Sales in Coleman. He dedicated 17 years to the company before continuing his career at AHP Inc., where he worked for an additional nine years.
A devoted public servant, Donnie was one of the founding members of the Town of Lake Fire Department, established in 1991. He faithfully volunteered there for 27 years, retiring in 2018. He was also a devoted member and volunteer at St. Matthew’s Church in Beaver, where he gave generously of his time and talents.
Donnie enjoyed participating in the weekly drawings at local establishments and dining out with friends. Known and loved by many throughout the community, he was always pleasant, kind, and willing to lend a hand. Donnie had a remarkable memory and was known for remembering the birthdays of family and friends alike. When his health declined, he became a resident of NewCare Assisted Living in Crivitz, where he remained until his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Wayne Mansfield; and two nephews, David and Larry Mansfield. And well as his dogs, Peanut 1 thru 7.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Donna Mansfield (Jerry Kuester); niece-in-law, Susan Mansfield; great-nephew, Kristopher Mansfield (Autumn); great-nieces, Jessica Sarmiento (Jason) and Morgan Melton (Brandon); as well as many great-great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Crivitz on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., with the service to follow at 3:00 p.m. A Luncheon will be served after the service. Burial will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Donnie’s name for the Town of Lake Fire Department.
