Darlene Donovan

Darlene T. Donovan, 64 of Crivitz passed away from her battle with aggressive cancer on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at home with her husband by her side. She was born on April 4, 1961, to the late Rudolf and Helen (Diers) Hofmann in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Darlene graduated from Marshfield Columbus High School in 1979. On July 7, 1990, Darlene married Joseph T. Donovan.

Darlene worked with Donovan & Jorgenson Inc. as office manager and corporate secretary for 30 years. She was an avid reader, known for her card playing prowess and a very competitive golfer. Darlene enjoyed downhill skiing and competed in Wisconsin’s Birkebeiner cross-country ski race for several years.

Darlene will be remembered for her wonderful smile, gracious personality and enthusiasm for life. She was genuinely kind and many people were fortunate to know her and call her a dear friend. She delighted in the happiness of others and will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 35 years, Joseph T. Donovan of Crivitz; step-daughters, Megan Donovan of Raleigh, NC and Erin Inman of Rome, GA; granddaughter, Donovan Fruland; grandsons, Thomas Cash Inman and Walker William Inman; brother, Richard (Marlene) Hofmann; sisters: Sandra (Harold) Jonas, Sharon (Gary) Grimm, Gloria (Dennis) Wolf, Kathy (Fred) Schutz, Betty (Rodolfo) Molina; and 23 nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son-in-law, Dan Inman; brothers-in-law: Fred Schutz, Dennis Wolf and Gary Grimm; niece, Nicole Schutz.

In lieu of flowers, “Pay it Forward” to someone in need.

The Celebration of Darlene’s Life will be announced soon. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Wash. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
