Dale Alan Barber, 72, of Menominee, Michigan, died unexpectedly at his home on October 31st. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden passing and will forever miss him.

Dale was born on February 1st, 1953, in Cadillac, Michigan. Right after graduating Marinette High School in 1971, he started his lifelong career at Marinette Marine. After he retired, he took to the simple joys in life that he enjoyed the most.

Dale loved golfing, and spending time up north at the cottage with his wife, Sandy of 51 years. He was a devoted husband and father who loved his wife and 2 daughters immensely. His family was the center of his world, and he took pride in being there for them in every way he could.

He was also a very proud grandpa. Nothing made Dale happier than cheering on his 5 grandkids. Whether it was a ball game, or special event, he showed up with pride and a full heart. Watching his grandkids grow and cheering them on was one of his greatest joys in life. Dale and Sandy were longtime members of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and raised their daughters in the Christian faith.

Dale leaves behind his wife, Sandy Barber (Treptow); his daughters Robin (Jerrod) Frenzel and Shelly Boye, both of Green Bay, WI; and his five grandchildren who meant the world to him; Riley and Claire Frenzel, and Alex, Cooper, and Stella Boye. He is survived by his sister Mary (Don) Hass and brothers Larry (Geri) Barber, Clark (Conni) Barber, Roy (Cathy) Barber, and Marty Barber all of Marinette, WI. His memory will also be cherished by his wife’s family, Connie & Kip Mckenney, Bill & Cindy Treptow, Kathy & Mike Utke, Judy & Gary Sadowski, and his many nieces and nephews.

He is reunited with his parents Roy and Josephine Barber, brothers Mike and Lynn Barber, niece Jennifer Hass; and his mother-in-law, Eileen Heider, and father-in-law, Lawrence Treptow. He is also reunited with his beloved dog, Morgan.

Dale will be missed beyond measure and forever remembered with love.

A private funeral service will take place at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee, MI, with immediate family.
