BRIAN ROBERT EWALD, 76, of Menominee passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at home. He was born on February 8, 1950, in Elmhurst, Illinois, to the late Wallace and Maybelle “Mibs” (Rhea) Ewald. Brian grew up in Mazomaine, Wisconsin with his two brothers. He graduated from High School and served in the United States Army. For 20 years, he worked at Mayflower moving company until moving back to Menominee. After moving back to Menominee, Brian married Claire Lorenz on July 1, 2000 in Menominee. He worked at Balsa USA and Aacer in Peshtigo, WI, until his time of retirement. Brian enjoyed tinkering with anything he could, fishing, collecting guns and knives, and doing welding projects, such as making frogs, dogs, and peacocks.
Brian is survived by his wife of 25 years Claire; two brothers: Scott “John” (Carol) Ewald and Rex (Sharon) Ewald; sisters-in-law: Claudia (Bob) Gaveske and Kris Sheraski; brother-in-law: David (Phyllis) Lorenz; many nieces and nephews; and his dog Hunter.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents and niece Jennifer Esquivel.
In keeping with Brian’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cadieu Funeral Home is assisting the Ewald family with arrangements.
