It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Brabender, age 87, of Peshtigo, Wisconsin, on Friday, March 14th. Barbara was born on September 3, 1937, to Joseph and Marie (Mehelich) Pesch. She married Howard “Toby” Brabender on September 1, 1956, enjoying 35 years of marriage until his passing on September 25, 1991.
Barbara's life was rich with community and family. She was a dedicated bowler and cherished her time spent socializing and playing cards with friends at the Senior Center. A devoted Wisconsin sports fan, her greatest joy was supporting her grandchildren in their high school athletic endeavors.
Barbara is survived by her son, Tim (Karen) Brabender of Peshtigo, and daughter, Lisa (Allen)Harrison of Green Bay; her grandchildren, Alison, Josh, Tyler, Kaitlin, and Anna; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard, and her daughter, Mary Jo Austin.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Peshtigo on March 24th from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM. The funeral mass will follow at 11:00 AM, celebrated by Father John Harper. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
