Viola Rondeau

Viola “Vi” (Gall) Rondeau, 77, of Marinette, passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2021 at home.

Born Dec. 18, 1943, to the late John and Stella (Matykowski) Gall, she was a lifelong resident of Marinette where she graduated from Marinette High School and worked at Scott Paper Mill until retiring. She married Francis Rondeau on Nov. 8, 1982 and they shared a love of traveling.

She loved sharing their experiences with family and friends and enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, was an avid reader and active in her Church, but mostly loved time with family and friends. A special sister and aunt, she demonstrated generosity, encouraged others to show kindness and could be counted on for a good laugh. She will be missed by all.

Survivors include three sisters, Mary (Jim) Welsh, Helen (Mark) Thyne and Valerie (Fred) Wilch; a brother, Joseph (Dorothy) Gall; seven nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fran.

Visitation will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Marinette on Monday, Oct. 25 from 4 p.m. until time of a Celebration of Life Service at 6 p.m. Burial will be held in Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements.
