Thomas G. Bikowski

Thomas George Bikowski, 67, of Oconto, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, surrounded by his two sons and his wife.

Born Nov. 23, 1955 in Oconto, to the late Joseph “Boots” and Ruth (DeCloux) Bikowski, he married Diane Gartzke on August 4, 1984.

An avid sports fanatic, baker, and professional “smack talker”, his favorite past times were baking treats year-round for his wife, and being his two sons’ number one fan along with his wife. He enjoyed cuddling with his grand-dogs on the couch and no matter what the agenda was, he mostly cared about having the family together at home.

Active in his community through the years, he was a devout member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, continuously supported Oconto sports at all levels through coaching little league baseball, stat keeping, clock-work and being a vocal spectator. He will be missed by many for who he was, and he often said “If I were any better, they would have to call me St. Thomas”.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Bikowski; two sons, David and Robert Bikowski; three sisters, Patricia (Fred) Martin, Susan Tomalak and Beth (Mike) Radtke; a brother, Joseph Bikowski and his grand-dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Margaret Gartzke; a sister in-law, Sherry Bikowski and a brother-in-law, Daniel Tomalak.

Family received relatives and friends at Gallagher Funeral Home in Oconto on Monday, Sept. 4 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Visitation continued on Tuesday, Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Oconto at 11 a.m. Rev. Francis Nusi officiated with burial in Oconto Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
