Thomas D. Nettleton

Thomas David Nettleton, 66, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at home.

Born Sept. 17, 1956 in Munising, Mi., to the late Donald and June (Morrison) Nettleton, he graduated from Munising High School and then received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Northern Michigan University. On Sept. 8, 1990 he married the former Linda Johnson in Marinette and she preceded him in death on Jan. 25, 2022. He worked for Alger County Sheriff’s Department and also the Menominee County Sheriff’s Department, serving residents of Menominee County for 29 years and 10 months until retiring.

He enjoyed going to camp, hunting, taking care of his apple trees and his pumpkin patch, bicycling, reading, gardening and his pets.

Survivors include a daughter, Roni (Kevin) Johnson of New Franken; seven siblings, Sharon Hoffman, Donna (Donald) Marbes, Darlene Casey, Mike (Sue) Nettleton, Beverly Nettleton, Kelley (Greg) Schulz and Tony (Michael Ann) Nettleton; many nieces and  nephews and friends Ned Hauser, Howie (Theresa) Karr, Greg (Judi) Hanson and Gary Johnson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda and an uncle, Roy Johnson.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 14 at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson, Mi. From 1 p.m. until time of the Sheriff’s Department final call at 2 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service with Michael Nettleton officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Oakwood in Spring.
