Suring FD Gets Grant For Signs

The Suring Fire Department has received a grant for highway safety signs. The gift was received as part of TC Energy Foundation’s community giving program, Build Strong. The grant was under the focus area of safety - emergency response and preparedness initiative.
The grant funds were used to purchase four “Emergency Scene Ahead” portable road signs and six LED hand-held “Stop/Slow” signs. These signs will communicate to the public that an emergency situation exists and they need to use caution.
The Suring Fire Department consists of 38 volunteer firefighters that cover the Village of Suring, Townships of Breed, How, Maple Valley, and a portion of the Town of Bagley and a portion of the Town of Spruce in Oconto County.
