Selina's Voice Walk Scheduled for May 6th

Selina's Voice Community Suicide Awareness Walk will be held May 6th.  Registration will begin at 11 am, in the park gazebo across from the River Pub in Peshtigo.  Registration is a suggested $20 fee, which will include a t-shirt. A short ceremony, and the presentation of awards will be held beginning at noon.  

There will be a 1 mile and 3 mile walk route.  Bucket drawings will be available under the tent.  Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food for the Peshtigo Food Pantry.  This will get them a free ticket to the bucket draw.  Drawings for the bucket prizes will be done shortly after all walkers are back.  Winners need not be present.  They will contact winners for pickup.  Peshtigo Seniors -  Make sure to get essay in for a chance at the awards.  Essays should tell how suicide or mental illness has affected you, or how you have made a difference in the community through volunteer work. 

Essays should be sent with "Selina's Voice" in the subject line. It should also include the school person will be attending - whether it be vocational, trade or college.  Essays may be sent to valariegray@hotmail.com or cowgirlred1972@gmail.com. These should be submitted by April 24th.
