Robert L. Bangert Sr.

Robert L Bangert Sr., Age 88 from Silvercliff, died Saturday Oct. 30, 2021at home. 

He was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bangert Sr. He joined the U.S.M.C April 1st, 1950. He was called to active duty during the Korean War and discharged December 30, 1957. 

He belonged to the American Legion Post 66. He enjoyed road trips (with his "short-cuts"), woodworking and spending time with family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 yrs, Carole, in 2017; His in-laws, Kelly and Meta Churchill; 1 brother, John and 7 sister-in-laws, Mary, Fran, Laura, Audrey, Midge, Bethany and Betty; 2 brother-in-laws, Jim and Chuck; 2 nieces and 3 nephews. 

He was survived by 5 children, Bruce (Lisa), Robert Jr. (Diane), Kathy, Chris (Brian) Wieting and Cynthia (Owen) Wilund. He was also survived by 4 brothers, Ted, Bill, Lea Gerald (Butch) Bert Jr. and one sister, Sue Gille; 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

The Memorial Service will be June 11, 2022 from 9-11 AM at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz.
