Respond to Car Fire

The City of Peshtigo Fire Department responded to a car fire near the intersection of South Wood Ave. and  McGraw Street in Peshtigo on Tuesday August 29 at 7:20 p.m. Upon arrival firefighters found a fully engulfed car and  immediately ran a hose line to the vehicle to extinguish the blaze. The 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee  is owned by Benjamin Waldvogel of Marinette. He stated he saw and smelled smoke near the front seat of his vehicle, then saw flames under the front seat, tried to put the flames out but was not successful. The vehicle is a total loss.
