Resident of The Cottages Found Dead of Hypothermia

A Marinette woman, Ruth Alguire, 76, a resident of  The Cottages, 2006 Lake Park Drive, Marinette, a Senior Living and Memory Care facility, died of hypothermia on Wednesday, March 1. She was discovered down outside and not breathing on property owned by The Cottages, according to Marinette City Police Chief Jon LaCombe.

Police along with Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area responded to the report at approximately 9:08 a.m. When Officers and EMS arrived on scene they determined the individual was deceased, and the Marinette County Medical Examiner was notified.

The examiner conducted an autopsy on Monday and determined the cause of death was hypothermia.
