REO Speedwagon tribute band to rock Equity Hall
Coming to Equity Hall for two nights, Sept. 29-30, is the REO Speedwagon tribute band Project 3:13.
Opening for Project 3:13 will be the rock band Hurricane Express.
Michael Jahnz, lead singer, started the REO connection when he became lead vocalist and front man for Gary Richrath, former lead guitarist and songwriter for REO Speedwagon.
In 1988, the rich vocals of Michael Jahnz caught the attention of Gary Richrath.
At the time Michael was playing with his band Vancouver on the Hollywood circuit at places like the Roxy, Whiskey-A-Go-Go, and the Troubadour and had previously enjoyed success touring with Badfinger.
Richrath left REO Speedwagon in 1989 and started a new band Richrath at which time Michael Jahnz joined him.
