One Vehicle Crash Claims Life of Silver Cliff Man

Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve reports that at 3:08 P.M. Marinette County Dispatch received a call reporting a one vehicle crash on State Highway 180 and Four Lakes Road in the Town of Wagner. The caller stated he witnessed a silver pick-up truck that was westbound, go off the road left striking a tree and then roll over. 
 
The Wausaukee Rescue Squad, Wagner Fire Department and Bay Area/ Aurora Paramedics all responded and treated the driver of the pick-up truck who was alone. The victim was transported to the Aurora Bay Area Hospital in Marinette where he was pronounced dead. 
 
The victim has been identified as Ronald Knier, a 71-year old man from the Silver Cliff area in Marinette County.  
 
This crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the Marinette County Medical Examiner. 
 
This is the second traffic fatality in Marinette County in 2022.
