Nancy Kornita

Nancy Kornita, 76, of Marinette, passed away Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021 at Rennes Health Care Center, West. 

Born Sept. 1, 1945 in Chicago, Ill., to the late Charles and Gertrude (Siegel) Kornita, she was a homemaker for most of her life before working at Rennes Health Center and Walmart doing housekeeping and cleaning duties. 

Her family meant everything to her and she loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed country western music and attending the Porterfield Country Music Festival. 

Survivors include two daughters, Karen (Steve) Seymour of Marinette and Jessica (Ken) Laessig of Peshtigo; a son, Daniel Jewell of Arkansas; a sister, Roberta Nipp of Menominee; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Nancy Tessmer and special friend, Kathy Seymour. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Clark; two brothers, Steve Kornita and Fred Tessmer; three sisters, Shirley Macabee, Laverne Bassett and Audrey Garza and her significant other, Archie Megenuph, Jr. 

Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 15 from 4 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 6 p.m. Following the service, all are invited to join the family at The Last Stop for food and fellowship. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Marinette. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
