Marilynn R. Leisch

Marilynn R. Leisch, 87, of Oconto, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 17, 2023.

Born Jan. 1, 1936 in Wauwautosa, to Ralph and Florella (Hunkosky) Leisch, she attended Kelly Brook Grade School and graduated from Oconto Falls High School as Valedictorian in 1954.

She worked at Bond Pickle in Oconto and was a 4-H leader at Maple Valley before moving to Phoenix around 1970 where she worked as an Administrative Assistant at ASU-Admissions.

She then moved to Payson, Az., where she worked for Barbara Nicks (Stevie Nicks mother) in her antique store and was in contact with her many fans via email and phone, doing mailings of Stevie’s items and was very involved in her fan club, even after she moved back to Oconto in 2000.

She volunteered at Oconto Middle School where she then worked for many years. She loved gardening, taking care of her flowers and she and her sister Karen were avid Cubs fans before the Braves moved to Milwaukee in 1953 and continued to be fans since, mostly listening to them on the radio. She was also a proud supporter of the Oconto Area Humane Society.

Survivors include two brothers, Tom and Sandy and Michael and Penny; two sisters, Karen and Linda; two sisters-in-law, Sandy and Mary Leisch; a special niece, Tina Kryger and many nieces; nephews and cousins.
