Lois J. Russell

Lois June Russell, 90, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2021. 

Born June 6, 1931 in Milwaukee, to the late Louis and Ruth (Rasmussen) Brunelle, she married Glen "Buddy" Russell on June 2, 1951 and he preceded her in death on May 25, 2003. She attended school in Menominee and worked many years as a cashier, first at Lemire's IGA Grocery Store and later at the former Angeli's Store. 

She enjoyed casino trips, crocheting and spending time at her family's camps, but mostly loved attending many of her grandsons' sporting events, Her greatest joy was being with family and especially adored her grandchildren. 

Survivors include two daughters, Chris (Carl) Hofer and Heidi (Michael) Wozniak and a son, Merle (Jane) Russell, all of Menominee; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and other family members and friends. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Grun; a brother, Earl Brunelle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ben and Joyce Keller and Joseph and Nathalie LaPlante and a grandson, Brett Dessart. 

Visitation was held at Cadieu Funeral Home in Menominee on Monday, Dec. 13 from 4 p.m. until the time of services at 6 p.m., with Rev. John Murray officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
