Kevin P. Harding

Kevin Patrick Harding, 42, of De Pere, passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

Born Jan. 26, 1981, one of four children, to Thomas and Margaret Harding in Marinette, he graduated from Marinette High School in 1999 and studied culinary arts at Fox Valley Technical College.

He worked as a Sous Chef at the Oneida Country Club for many years, then as a Head Chef at the Green Bay Country Club. As he settled into family life, he switched gears to be more present with regular hours for his family and worked as a Team Leader at Georgia Pacific in Green Bay since 2017.

A creative and kind soul, he loved music, food, the Chicago Cubs and spending quality time with his family. He had a big heart, a kind smile, a quick wit, a good sense of humor. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. He gave in death as he gave in life with organ and tissue donation.

He is survived by a daughter, Sophie; a son, Harper; his parents, Thomas and Margaret Harding of Marinette; a sister, Bridget Engen (David) of Monrovia, Ca.; a sister, Katie Smogoleski (Jason) of Wausau; twin brother, Christopher Harding (Betsy) of Bellevue; nephews, Luke Smogoleski, Jack Harding and Trevor Harding; niece, Mallory Smogoleski and many great cousins; coworkers and lifelong friends.

Visitation was held Monday, Sept. 4 at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. until time of a Funeral Mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Menominee at 11 a.m., followed by a luncheon.

In lieu of flowers, family asks that you commit an act of kindness for someone.
