Karen K. England

Karen K. England (nee Keller), was granted her lifetime goal on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, when she was welcomed by her Savior into her heavenly home. Her family was present when Jesus Christ brought her into his loving arms. She is now reflecting in his glory for eternity.

The invitation became known only a few months ago when her earthly body revealed unrestrained cancer. Her husband Allen; her sons Tyler (Heidi) and Justin (Lisa); her four beloved grandsons, Parker, Carter, and Sawyer and Hudson; her brother Michael; her many cousins, and a multitude of friends, each deeply feel the pain of her earthy passing. But each of her fellow believers also understands that as a forgiven Christian, Heaven truly is Karen’s home. We all rejoice in that fact.

Karen was born on November 29, 1954, to the late Martin and Alice (Meunier) Keller. Raised in a family of Faith in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, she graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1973. Marrying her high school sweetheart, Allen, in 1975, Karen relished the dream of motherhood. Tyler was born in 1976, and his brother Justin joined the family in 1981.

Throughout her 68 years, Karen was all about her Faith and her Family. She truly enjoyed and felt privileged to be a Christian mother and grandmother. Her considerable and ongoing contributions of time, talent, and treasure to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church during her earthly life were excellent examples for her sons to follow.

The simple and profound joys of parenthood; the small triumphs of everyday life; the many adventurous family vacation travels; attendance at her sons’ innumerable ball games; and the weddings of her “Men”--Tyler and Justin—each were fully embraced by Karen and Allen.

Karen was quietly proud of all of her men:  Allen, Tyler, Justin, Parker, Carter, Sawyer and Hudson. No woman every enjoyed being a grandmother more than Karen. She also looked forward to cheering on the Green and Gold at Lambeau Field each season with Michael. For 36 years, Karen served her community as a dedicated Teacher’s Aid in the Special Education Department at Peshtigo Public Schools.

A Christian Funeral was held at Karen’s home church, Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 221 South Ellis Avenue, Peshtigo at 11:00 a. m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023, with Pastor Luke Myslik officiating. Friends called at the Berth Funeral Home, 331 South Ellis Avenue, on Friday September 1, 2023 from 4:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m., and again directly at the Church on Saturday, September 2 from 9:30 a. m. until the time of services.

Karen’s earthy body will be interment in Riverside Cemetery, Peshtigo, to await the Day of Resurrection. On that day, her body and soul will be re-united to enjoy the full benefits of eternal, Heavenly peace. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church would be appreciated. Berth Funeral Home is serving the family during this difficult, yet blessed, time.
