John L. Benzow

John L. Benzow, age 69, of Goodman, died Monday November 6, 2023, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Racine on October 21, 1954; son of Roland Sr. and Genevieve (Shumaker) Benzow.

John graduated from Washington High School in 1973. He was an avid outdoorsman that truly mentored people about hunting the right way. He loved fishing, mushrooming, watching the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. John was also the luckiest person winning at the casino and raffles/drawings. He will be missed by all who knew him.

John is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna; children: Chris (Keri) Benzow, Jon (Nicole) Benzow, Jenni Benzow, Erika Joslin, and Erin (Joe) Thillemann; 21 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; siblings: Pam (Jim) Cremer, Glenna (Ron) Ensweiler, Paula (Herb) Meyer, Holly (Phil) Pittner, Roland (Tammy) Benzow, Sue Dumovich, Kelly (Leif) Haugland, and Jim Benzow; 6 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews; and life-long friends: Dan (Tami) Mielcarek.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law; and brothers-in-law: Bill Dumovich and Jim Willkinson.

Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goodman at a later date.

Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting John’s family with arrangements.
