John C. Rowell, Sr.

John Charles Rowell, Sr., 78, of Pound, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on March 15, 2023.  He was born to the late Charles and Louise (Race) Rowell November 21, 1944 in Oconto Falls, WI.  He graduated from Oconto Falls High School. He farmed in the local area for many years until he began working as a truck driver until retirement.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, boating and playing farmer with his little brother Ronald on the family farm.

Surviving are three children, John (Memoree) Rowell, Jr., Jeff Rowell, and Julie (Roger) Benzschawel, the mother of his children Gail Weilgus, 9 grandchildren and one great grandson, two brothers, Charlie (Doris) Rowell and Ronald (Linda) Rowell and many other relatives and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Charlotte Raatz.

The family will greet relatives and friends Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 235 E.
