James R. Doyen

James Roger Doyen, 86, of Daggett, Mi, passed away Monday, Sept. 4, 2023.

Born April 16, 1937 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Ruben and Martha (Bertrand) Doyen, on Oct. 5, 1960 he joined the United States Army and served proudly until receiving an honorable discharge on Sept. 19, 1962. He worked for Nelson Trucking as a truck driver and retired in 2005.

An active member of the Mid-County Antique Power Club and Stephenson American Legion where he enjoyed being the cook and being on the Funeral Honor Squad.

He is survived by nieces, Karen Broeders, Lori Brusky, Angela Karkheck and Annette Bettica; a nephew, Steve Doyen and many great-nieces and nephews.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene, Joseph and John; three sisters, Therese Wery, Elizabeth Otradovec and Mary Siefert; a niece, Pam Payne and a great-nephew, Travis Payne.

Visitation will be held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson on Friday, Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. until time of a Prayer Service at 11 a.m., officiated by Fr. Ben Rivard.
