James R. Arsineau

James R. Arsineau, 78, of Marinette, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023 at his home.

Born Feb. 8, 1945, to Lawrence and Frances (Baxter) Arsineau in Menominee where he spent his early life, prior to retirement, he was a longtime employee of L.E. Jones Co. in Menominee. He married the former June M. Klatt on July 28, 1989.

A vintage car fan, he owned a 1955 Pontiac for many years, belonged to local car clubs and attended the Iola Car Show yearly. He was also a kidney donor.

Survivors include his wife, June; four children, Kathy (Jamie) Peterson, Stacie (Kevin) Minzloff, Jim Arsineau II and John (Caroline) Hilton; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren with one on the way and a sister, Carol Meyers.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry, Bill and Ronald; a son, Ronald Hilton and a granddaughter, Hannah Minzloff.

Visitation was held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Marinette on Friday, Feb. 24 from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 4 p.m., Vicar Katy Tomlanovich officiated. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family.
