Jacquart’s are Grand Marshals For Oconto Copperfest Parade

Richard and Sue Jacquart have been elected to serve a Grand Marshals for the 2023 Oconto Copperfest Parade on Saturday June 10th.

They have lived in Oconto for over 50 years. They met at the bowling alley in OConto in the summer of 1973 the following summer they married,  they have 1 son Scott (Heather) and 1 daughter Heidi (Ross) I granddaughter Charleigh. This year they will be married for 50 Years.

Sue coached summer league softball for many years, alderwoman and president of the Oconto City Council, member of the Oconto High School booster club and various committees at the American Lutheran Church. She worked for Doctor Olson's optometrist for 25 years and is currently chairman of the Okato Manor Board of Review. Her main enjoyment is taking care of her  granddaughter.

Dick was a police officer/investigator for the City of Oconto for 40 years, member of the Oconto volunteer fire department, a member of the Oconto County VIP board. Current president of First American Lutheran Church Council. Enjoying retirement working at Bread by the Bay food pantry and is currently the Vice President.

Dick and Sue have worked alongside many great men and women in Oconto, enjoy living there and hope that Oconto stays a great place to live and visit. They are honored to be this year's Grand Marshals, Copperfest has been a part of Oconto's history for many years and are proud to be part of it.

The kick off event to Copperfest 2023 will be the Grand Marshal Banquet held on Thursday, June 8th at 6:30 P.M. at the Oconto J Lodge. Reservations for the banquet can be made by calling 920 373-1998. Cost will be $15/per person and reservation deadline will be June 5th. Miss Wisconsin 2022, Kyren Spanbauer will be attending the banquet this year.
